Business Continuity is about planning for disasters as they come in different shapes and sizes. When we think of “disaster,” we usually think of natural disasters like earthquakes, tornadoes, or hurricanes. In the business world, we know there are other disasters such as security incidents such as equipment failures or even cyber-attacks. In preparation, organizations and companies create disaster recovery and contingency plans detailing processes to follow and actions to take to resume their mission-critical functions.
